lyrics

The footsteps before me have been washed away. The path behind me has faded. I have lost my sense of direction and purpose. My mind is a cage. These thoughts have become clouded. Clinging to memories I search for reality. As I close my eyes, the haunting visions appear. Real and true. Is this past or future? Trembling I witness my own horrors. Facing the internal fears. What terrible things burden my heart and mind. Do I still have the power to choose? Or am I already damned. Forsaken by a god that does not exist. In this hour of truth I will show you the evil that men can do. The future is mine to create, but the past is not yours to destroy. I possess the strength, the strength to change. I refuse to give into temptation. I don't walk the path of the righteous man. I was baptized in sin. I don't hide behind misguided morals or displace the consequence of my actions. The future is mine to create. The past is not yours to destroy. Here I lie, in my early grave.
